Quail Strut, watercolor batik, 18″x24″

The images on this page currently represent the original artworks in my recent exhibit at the Napa County main library. All of this artwork is part of my Watercolor Batik series. Watercolor Batik is watercolor on a rice paper ground with wax used as a resist. The rice paper is then mounted on wood panels and protected with satin varnish.

All of the following are available on 18″ x 24″ panels unless otherwise noted. Smaller custom sizes can be commissioned, and will be very similar but not exactly alike due to the unpredictable interaction of paint and wax. If an exact match is desired, I can make several versions from which to choose from.

Pricing varies depending on the sellers commission. If purchased directly from me, the pricing is exactly 1.5 dollars per square inch, so 18″x24″ is $650. If purchased from my co-op, Art Gallery Napa Valley, roughtly 30% goes to student scholarships, credit card processing and other fees, so I must charge more to cover the costs. The same size there will cost $925.
